TIER 5 ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME IN THE UK (Belarus)
Our Tier 5 Engineering Internship Programme is a licensed Government Authorised Exchange (GAE) scheme, backed by the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), and designed to allow non-EU and non-EEA graduates and undergraduates to gain valuable work experience in the engineering sector in the UK.
In September 2014 we were granted a Tier 5 licence by the UKBA (UK Border Agency), which gives us the unique opportunity to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) to successful applicants, for a 4-12 month engineering placement. The aim of this programme is to provide students with the opportunity to experience the UK culture, develop their professional English skills, and gain valuable vocational skills from reputable UK engineering companies.
Our Placement Officers will guide you through the application and Skype interview process, in order to match you to an internship, which is relevant to your studies and career progression. During the application you will be able to select three placements from carefully chosen companies who are partnered with the EEF, (The Manufacturers' Organisation).
Our Placement Officers will remain as a point of contact throughout your placement to support and monitor you, so we can check that everything is running smoothly, and that you are happy in your placement.
We will do this in a number of ways, through online reports, email, telephone and face-to-face visits at your company.
The internship will be offered as a supernumerary, structured placement that will last for about a minimum of 25 hours per week. Your internship will also be paid at National Minimum Wage, and any payment above this is discretionary and will be decided by your company. This Tier 5 Engineering Internship Programme is available to undergraduate and postgraduate students, who are within 12 months of graduation.

ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD
Accommodation and food are not included in the price of the programme.
We advise that you ask your host company for guidance on local estate agents, or if they provide any staff accommodation. House and flat prices outside of London tend to be cheaper, and the cost of this or the area that you will be located in, should be considered when you begin your application with us.
You can also discuss accommodation options with our Placement Office, as they will be happy to guide and advise you where they can.
